The Honeycomb

Honeycomb is a modular system of small wind turbines specially designed for urban environments.
Each module has a diameter of 1.5 meters and features a shroud which accelerates the wind. Space is therefore better utilized.
The turbines are mounted on the roof of a building to take advantage of larger wind speeds.

UrbanFlow is a project initially launched at the Laboratory of Energy Conversion at ETH Zurich.
A team of students developed the wind turbine Honeycomb, which was presented firstly to public in June 2014. Now the project spun-off its academic background to spread its achievements to society. Join us in changing the urban world we live in!
