UrbanFlow is a project initially launched at the Laboratory of Energy Conversion at ETH Zurich.
A team of students developed the wind turbine Honeycomb, which was presented firstly to public in June 2014. Now the project spun-off its academic background to spread its achievements to society. Join us in changing the urban world we live in!

Wind Tunnel Measurements

Measurements of the Honeycomb Turbine power output show an increase by 59% compared to the rotor only without a shroud. Furthermore, the shroud around the rotor makes the turbine less sensitive to yawed wind.
